JOHNNY GUITAR WATSON I DON'T WANT TO BE A LONE RANGER

1975 Fantasy records usa .. funky soul .. produced by Mr Watson .. string arrangements Jimmy Jones .. Mr Watson plays lead guitar, bass and piano and of coarse sings. Mr Watson was a genius with a guitar .. it was him who inspired Frank Zappa to start playing guitar .. and influenced people like Sly Stone, George Clinton, Prince and Jimi Hendrix..if you don't know him listen for yourself in the comments @320.

Incredible blog that packs body blows early in the first round.......

Rare bangers plus a can of ACKRITE to all of the cats who "cop n' blow".

Tell you what, if I get booted after two downloads, I'll see ya on the rebound, paros.

Good lookin' out on the classix.

I love Johnny Guitar Watson. I first heard of him on the 'One Size Fits All' album by Zappa, and just loved his authentic blues inflected voice.

Wow, never heard Mr. Watson before. Another great post. Will be adding It's Way Too Late to the party mix. I love Prince, but when I hear how original he is, I usually go through the list of his obvious influence. Now I get to add another!

You have a great blog, thank you so much for all those records. Some I didn't know I wouldn't know what to write in the comments different to "I'm looking forward to hear this", which is always true! But Johnny is familiar, but dn't know this record. Great ad. What record is that rap with the girl and the telephone bill on? Iguess it's rather 80s?
Thanx anyway
