EDDIE ROBINSON - REFLECTIONS OF THE MAN INSIDE

1974 Myrrh records usa...very soulful gospel LP.. as it is Sunday i thought i would go to church on you.. Mr Robinson has a sweet but Strong voice.. it is a mellow LP not really for the dancers out there.. you are never left alone.. is the stand out track for me..but don't take my word for it .. go see for your self its in the comments @320...just to let you know iv installed a ip blocker..so if you take more than 2 LPs with out leaving a comment ..your out.... the shed is watching you...

Have to agree no "You are never left alone" being the killer on here - and what a killer! Many thanks.

Black Music magazine, January 1975 said:

"Another album distributed by World, this is as far as I know, Eddie's first solo album and despite the professionalism, it shows. The typical gospel background of singing with a local group, the Ducanaires, and playing piano for the USA 8th Army General's Chorus may verify Eddie's faith, but unfortunately it can't guarantee that his song writing inspiration will stretch to the 9 numbers he claims here. Otherwise this is fine. Recorded under the auspices of Martha Jean "The Queen" of WJLB, Detroit, the album is produced and arranged by ex-Motowners, Ernest Kelley, Jimmy Roach and Paul Riser. Riser having arranged the great "There's got to be rain in your life" successfully for another gospel artist, Dorothy Norwood, obviously excels in this situation, and it is the tracks he worked on which are most satisfying. Both 'Reflections of the man inside' and 'Brand new', where the song and arrangement are complemetary, are commercial enough to be tried as singles, and might even get airplay in Britain" - Adam Finn.

Keep up what is becoming a great and refreshing blog.
